If this weren't one of Wicked's annual efforts to make a quality porn movie, I would normally say that this is a pretty good vid with all the ingredients one can expect in a vampire porn.
But because Wicked has raised the standard and created the EPIC porn movie archetype, this movie falls a little short. Which really isn't a knock against the movie, but more of a comment on what has come to be expected of the video giant who in the past has brought us "Flashpoint" and "Conquest".
Basically, the story revolves around a dirty cop, played with nominee-deserving flair by Armstrong, who when he isn't fighting his own personal demons, is breaking most of the laws he has sworn to uphold. His life takes an odd turn when he stumbles across a series of killings leading him to a private club by the name of "Pornogothic".
The moody-looking club is actually the secret lair to a coven (?) of beautiful female vampires. Being a porno movie, the vampire girls don't limit themselves to merely sucking blood, which according to lore actually makes them more succubi than vampirella.
Leading up the bloodsuckers is the ravishing Shanna McCullough, who for some odd reason creeps about with a dark black wig. One can only guess that the dark hair is a physical manifestation of her dark ways.
The plots twist comes in Serenity's vampire character. She's the vampire who doesn't want to feed on humans and is refusing to kill anything other than rats for sustenance. Lucky for Armstrong, he meets the Serenity character who quickly begins to fall in love with the detective and helps him in his attempts to bring down the fanged baddies.
All of the sex scenes are worth mentioning, even the odd pairing of Serenity and the venerable Dave Cummings.
Of particular note is an exceptional three-way between Alex Sanders, Rebecca Lords and Serenity in a very dank and dirty alley.
Technically the movie is top notch, although at times the audio is a bit muffled. But a mouth full of porcelain fangs will sometimes do that to you.
Recommended: To fans of vampirism, couples, and Serenity's legion of followers.
