The thing I probably like the most about Jonathan Morgan is that he really likes movies. He has a lot of respect for mainstream Hollywood and one gets the impression that in another reality, Jonathan would try to be a "real" Hollywood director.

His latest opus from Wicked Pictures is the clever "Indigo Delta" which is Morgan's homage to the "Silence of the Lambs" genre. It's surprising that it's taken this long for a "knock off" (for lack of a better word) of the hugely successful Jodie Foster/Anthony Hopkins thriller to come out.

Generally speaking, porn versions of mainstream Hollywood pictures take a recognizable title, twist it around, and only bare the slightest resemblance to it's source material. Wicked's "Indigo Delta" makes an honest attempt to do justice to it's story as well as it's sex.

The plotline concerns Serenity in the role of a romance novelist who is bored with the pulpy Harlequin Romance-ish pablum that she cranks out to an appreciative audience. As we all know from "Misery" and the "Romancing the Stone" movies, such writers always yearn to get away from what has made them so succesful. In this case, Serenity wants to write a book studying the motivations of a captured serial killer, played to perfection by Tom Byron.

In true Charlie Manson fashion, Byron immediately gets into the mind of his researcher and takes her down his dark passage of depravity.

First off, if Tom Byron doesn't get some sort of recognition for his role as the jailed psychotic, then all the things that they say about AVN and XRCO are true. (Read into that what you will).

Morgan also deserves a nod for his technical prowess and willingness to go for a more dramatic angle.

Two scenes of note: a scorching three-way featuring Melissa Hill as Serenity's shallow agent who brings in two well hung street gigolos to service her. Very hot.

An impressive orgy with some incredible anal penetrations is one of the best I have seen in quite a while. For a film that is seemingly geared towards the couples market, the intense ass drilling came as quite a surprise to this reviewer.

I have to admit, this is the first film I have seen with Serenity and, let me tell you, the girl has a very special way of sucking dick. Note to myself: I will have to volunteer to review more of her upcoming features.

Video store owners will appreciate the attention that Wicked gives to it's boxcovers and this one is quite nice. Hopefully the rest of the industry will continue to take its cues from Wicked and produce such high quality boxcovers.
