Porn Stud Jonathan Morgan is a man who has parlayed a quick wit and a reliable tool into one of the most thriving careers in the hardcore scene. He's a round-faced and jovial guy who gives off a somewhat severe aura when you first look at him -- maybe it's something about his beady eyes. First impressions are deceiving in this case, though, because Jonathan is actually one of the more fun-loving, tongue-in-cheek studs on the circuit. He brings a lighthearted touch to his roles and has proven to be the best male on the scene when it comes to light comic performances. And when the action heats up, Jonathan is more than able to hold his own. He's also fashioned himself into one of the most popular directors on the circuit, producing videos that perfectly combine white-hot action and wild comedy hi jinx.

Jonathan Morgan was born on February 5, 1966. A self-described 'geek' in high school, he moved from the East Coast to California in the late 80s. He helped pay his way through college in San Francisco by performing at the comedy club The Punch Line, the place that gave Robin Williams his start. Upon graduating, Jonathan and his then-girlfriend packed up and moved to Southern California. She promptly left him for a movie producer.

Jonathan landed a job selling cars in an Orange County showroom. It was while watching a porn video with a new girlfriend in 1988 that he was inspired to try his luck at on-screen heat. The girl told him that she doubted he could do what the guys in the video were doing, that it would take some real 'sexual Superman' to pull that off. Never one to back down from a challenge, Morgan headed up to Jim South's office and was working in his first feature within two weeks. He recalls that he was so nervous during that first shoot that he spent ten minutes trying to get K.C. Williams' bra off, never realizing that it fastened in the front.

Jonathan quickly moved up through the ranks of porn studs, crafting a niche for himself as a guy who could deliver comedic line readings as well as he could deliver red-hot romping. Among his best early flicks is 1992's 'Secret Garden 2,' where he and Ashlyn Gere delve into some delirious debauchery. 'Buttsizer' finds him in the clinch with Mona Lisa, to whom Morgan was briefly engaged during the early 90s. Maybe his best early outing is Gregory Dark's 'Crease Master,' where Morgan romps with Tyffany Million, Heather Hart, Tiffany Mynx and Christina Applelay in a series of scaldingly hot romps.

Jonathan's acting and sexual skills have earned him plenty of industry kudos, including the 1993 AVN Male Performer of the Year Award. Jonathan moved behind the camera in the early 90s, directing a string of down and dirty videos under the name Damian HellX. In 1993, he began directing and writing under his own name, helming the 'Reel Sex World' series and winning a 1993 AVN Best Screenplay nod for his work on 'Haunted Nights.'

In 1998, his friend Serenity helped him get signed to an exclusive directorial contract with Wicked Pictures. It's for Wicked that Jonathan's considerable skills as an actor, director and editor have finally gotten some well-deserved recognition. His first Wicked flick was 'Crazed,' a Serenity vehicle for which he won another Best Screenplay AVN Award.

1999 saw the release of 'Double Feature,' which went on to win 10 AVN Awards. The flick is the perfect combination of raw sex and silly comedy, a carnal and comedic concoction that represents the ultimate expression of Morgan's off-kilter world view.

Morgan has continued to appear in the occasional sexvid, even while his directorial career has taken off. Among his better recent outings is 'Pandora,' where he and Temptress get down and dirty in a hot segment. 'Chasing Asia' finds Morgan in the clinch again with frequent partner Asia Carrera in a steamy and sensual blast.

Jonathan Morgan continues to work for Wicked, crafting some of the best-made hardcore features around. His silly sense of humor and unerring eye for the erotic makes each of his flicks a fun-filled frolic. Anyone who bemoans the death of the plot-driven porn pot boiler should surely love Morgan, a man who seems determined to keep the goofy, fun-loving attitude in porn -- even if he has to do it single-handedly!
