| popular dance duo in the dance industry, Blondage, where she performed with the recently retired Janine Lindemueller. After a stunning performance on stage, Julia took a few minutes away from signing autographs and posing with attendant fans who had come to get a Polaroid with her, to do this brief interview for TALKING BLUE.
Dave Michaels Hi Julia, long time no see.
Julia Ann Yeah, it's been since the last time I danced here at Bob's in December of 1998 with Janine.
Dave Michaels (Pointing to Julia's merchandise to purchase at the club) Hey, that's a cool bumper sticker. (The saying on the decal is "Thank God For Porn".)
Julia Ann You like that?
Dave Michaels Speaking of pissing off of the Lord, I remember the first time we met, at a signing for your comic book. I said Goddamn it real loud at the store and you reprimanded me for the rest of the night. You still very spiritual?
Julia Ann Not really spiritual per say, but let's just say I believe in Karma. I really don't care if someone says Goddamn it, it just doesn't really serve any purpose blurting it out. I've calmed down a lot since then.
Dave Michaels So how have you been since then?
Julia Ann I have been extremely busy and things have really changed in my life.
Dave Michaels I guess I should ask you first, what was your reaction and feelings on your dance partner, Janine's, decision to leave the business and retire?
Julia Ann (Making a strained face) Nothing really, at all. We really haven't dance together since last December when you last talked to me. It's been almost a year and when we danced that night, we got this weird vibe from the audience. It wasn't the same intensity that we used to get from past shows. We kind of knew then and there that it was probably time for us to separate the duo and try things on the road separately. I just got off the phone with her yesterday.
Dave Michaels What is in the future for you?
Julia Ann Playboy TV just signed me to take over as host of Playboy TV's "Naughty Amateur Home Videos". I also am starring in a new video from Juli Ashton's Ashton View Productions. It's called "Essentially Julia Ann" and I have 7 sex scenes in it and it is going to show me in a different light than you have ever seen me before.
Dave Michaels Will it show your spiritual side?
Julia Ann It's going to show a "political" side of me.
Dave Michaels How so?
Julia Ann Well, I'm not signed with Vivid Video anymore. And everyone always knew me from my performances in their titles, as the "pretty girl making love". But, I really like nasty fucking!
Dave Michaels (Shocked) Your kidding!
Julia Ann I'm now signed with adult model agent, Lucky Smith. He asked me the other day, "So how was sex last night?" And I said, "Before or after I drugged him?" (Laughing)
Dave Michaels (Looking at Julia in a whole new, nasty light) And?
Julia Ann And after I took an enema, I shat all over his chest...(Laughing) I really love nasty sex. I'm talking with a major video company right now about starting my own series and I'm very, VERY close to closing a deal. The company will also release titles I appear in and those are the ones that will show everyone how I really am.
Dave Michaels Does your video company have a name?
Julia Ann I'm still working on that one. I wanted to call it "WIPP Women In Porn Productions", but then I was afraid everyone would think it was a fetish line. So I'll tell you as soon as I decide on that one. I really want to show the sexy, hot, sensual side of sex. I got so tired of my films, how you had to do all those standard scenes they always had in them. I want to do sexy fun things. Like film a guy put his hand up my dress and keep it there. Doing all these nasty things to me, working up to getting each other off. Or having sex with my clothes on. A guy coming up to me in a dress and then lifting it up and fucking me from behind. I want to keep the mystery there but also very hot intense sex. I also got the directing and producing bug, after working on the "Essentially Julia Ann" video. I just fell in love with working behind the camera.
Dave Michaels How did you feel after the announcement of the engagement of adult film stars Jill Kelly and Julian? I know you dated Julian for a while.
Julia Ann (Shocked, strained look) I never really thought about it until you just asked me that question. I think it's great they found each other and have a good relationship. I dated Julian for all the wrong reasons. My past relationships with men outside the industry always ended up in Hell. I thought if I dated someone inside the industry, I would have better luck in love. But after a while, I just realized it wasn't really what I was looking for. So we ended our relationship. The only thing that kind of bugged me was a week later after we broke up...
Julia Ann I'm very happy for Jill. She has had some terrible relationships in the past; she deserves, finally, a good one. I also hope the best for Julian.
Dave Michaels I was just curious.
Julia Ann Besides, I'm sort of in a blossoming relationship at the moment. But we are taking it VERY slow.
Dave Michaels Who is this mystery man? Is he someone in the industry?
Julia Ann He isn't an actor or anything like that. He doesn't work on films or anything, just works around it.
Dave Michaels Oh, come on. You must give me a hint. Is he a magazine publisher?
Julia Ann I never said that, so you can't print it!
Dave Michaels (Both smiling) Oh, so he is a magazine publisher!
Julia Ann I never said that, so you can't print that! (Laughing)
Dave Michaels Fine, I'll move on.
Julia Ann I'm staying very busy. And I'm still dancing a lot. I did do the "Man Show" on Comedy Central, and I plan to do more guest spots on cable. That's about it. Hope you don't misquote me too much. You didn't write anything down.
