One of our first guests on
TALKING BLUE was the lovely Dyanna Lauren. She has regularly showed up over the last three years and is still one of our most favorite guests with always something new and interesting to talk about.
One of Dyanna's newest projects is the critically lauded "Bad Wives" from Vivid Video. The film also marks one of the first forrays into interactive DVD that Vivid has done, and is quickly becoming one of the most popular selling titles this year.
We sat down to talk with the beautful blonde star to ask her about her start in the adult industry, which lead into other topics. If at times, it seems like we are fawning over our interview subject, you should be aware that one half of the interviewers (Dave) is possibly Dyanna's biggest fan.
TB: We caught your act at "Bob's Classy Lady", in Van Nuys (California).
Dyanna: Thanks.
TB: You did a very intense act. Most girls who feature just shake their ass and "try" to dance.
Dyanna: (giggles)
TB: But you put on a power driven song and dance performance.
Dyanna: Thanks! I try to go on the road performing at least once a month, except during Christmas time. I tour all over California, from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
TB: What is it like to dance in San Francisco? We hear that the shows are quite different there.
Dyanna: Oh yeah! (Dyanna's eyes widen). I was told up there that if I didn't do a dildo show everytime I was on stage, the guys wouldn't tip you.
TB: That doesn't seem fair.
Dyanna: Yeah, but they have private rooms up there wher you can see pretty much anything you want from the girls. Girls doing girls with strap-on dildoes, and girls doing guys. It gets pretty intense.
TB: So you can actually see live sex acts on stage?
Dyanna: Yeah, and you know what's really great; when you're dancing on stage, playing on a huge screen behind you, they are playing your adult films.
TB: That must be the infamous O'Farrell Theater.
Dyanna: Yeah, it gets to the point that you keep turning around watching yourself on the screen.
TB: Wow. That's a totally interactive performance.
Dyanna: Yeah, it's great.
TB(Dave): I remember you doing and incredible three-way scene in the highly acclaimed "Immortal Desires". What was that like?
Dyanna: I was supposed to do a three way scene with this guy and girl, and a girl/girl scene. The scene started shooting at 10 a.m. in the morning and went until 3 a.m. the following morning.
TB: You mean to tell us that it took you 15 hours for one sex scene?!
Dyanna: Exactly. But it was incredible. I would do it again. It's the only movie I have done,... see, in this industry, most of the people fast forward through the sex and watch the dialogue, which is the other way around for the fans. But I actually sat down and watched all the scenes in that one, then rewound and watched it again.
TB(Dave): The film is intense, sort of like if Oliver Stone did a porno. "Natural Born Killers " with sex.
Dyanna: I am very proud of being in that movie.
TB: What is it like doing the different video conventions?
Dyanna: Well, something about the east coast crowds are completely different from the west coast crowds, for one.
TB: How so?
Dyanna: I don't know what it is, the guys from the east coast are really rough and very rude. They say things like "Can I touch your pussy?". Ruder than I have ever seen before. On the west coast, most people ask for an autograph and are very sweet and respectful.
TB: We saw you signing at the AdultDex convention with Celeste. Did you two ever work together in a movie?
Dyanna: Did I ever work with Celeste??? She was my first girl/girl scene that was so hot, it made all the guys working in the room very uncomfortable.
TB: What do you like doing more, the adult films or going on the road dancing?
Dyanna: It's kind of funny. I like being at home to do the films, but ever since I was five years old, I wanted to be (famed stripper) Gypsy Rose Lee. This business has made it easy for me to take my clothes off in front of people and let me sing and dance, and I really like it. It is not necessarily the money. I enjoy what I do.
TB: Did you do amateur films before going into doing the feature films?
Dyanna: No, I went straight into the pro end. I had been doing magazine layouts for so long, it was sort of a natural progression into this. I went to Jim South's office at World Modeling and signed up there, but I didn't want to do sex scenes. Directors and producers kept seeing my photo at his office and asked if I did movies, and Jim would tell them "Yes, but she doesn't do sex on film." So I figured they had this plan for me. For the first two years I did films, I did only tease scenes and non-sex roles. Eventually I did,... well, it happened like this. It is a pretty funny story.
TB: Tell us about it.
Dyanna: I was getting a divorce and was celebrating.
TB: So the first one was a revenge fuck?
Dyanna: (Laughing). Well, no. I ah, somebody thought it was a good idea to put real alchohol in this party scene. So they kept giving me drinks and I kept getting drunk. Well, you know Lene Hefner...
TB: We know Lene...
Dyanna: Well, we've known each other for ten years and we've done bikini contests, magazines, and all that stuff. Well, everytime she would come past me, she was supposed to brush my leg with her hand. Each new take, she would go that much further than she was supposed to. So the last time she was supposed to touch me, she was supposed to kiss my neck, kiss down my arm and walk away. She stuck her tongue down my throat and had her hand in my crotch. The director on the shoot, Paul Thomas, said: "I want you to rub her face." But I was really drunk. So I ran my had up her leg, spread her legs and dove in.
TB: (Laughing)
Dyanna: The director is jumping up and down, excited. "Oh my God, she's doing sex on film, oh my God!" "Don't stop her, don't stop her!". So that is how I got started doing my first sex scene. I really had no intention of doing it. I was curious, but I had to do it in my own time. I guess that was the way.
TB: Tell us about your tattoo.
Dyanna: It's right here... (Dyanna draws a circle with her finger next to her crotch). You wanna see it?
TB: You wanna show it?
Dyanna: Everybody knows about my tattoo.
TB: We must have missed it.
Dyanna: (Takes off her pants) How can you miss that?
Dyanna has no underwear on. Clear as day we can see the tattoo of a heart with a knife through it, right above her delectable pussy.
TB: Well, that's nice. It isn't often we get those little extras for the show.
Dyanna: Anytime.
Knowing full well that we weren't going to be able to top that moment, we decided that we had come to the end of our interview.
Dyanna is still very active and you can often catch her appearing at one of the many dance clubs across the country. She is also directing and appearing in a number of film and video projects, many of them through Vivid Video.
