| HOLLYWOOD, CA -- Halloween in Hollywood
is kind of like Mardi Gras in New Orleans, except that the prostitution is a little more
low key and the local voodoo practitioners are not part of the Hollywood Chamber of
Commerce's Visitor Guide. But the glitter boys and glamour
girls of the entertainment Mecca love to dress up and party on this holiday that seems to
bring out more costumed freaks than all the other days in the drag-queen-filled streets of
West Hollywood.

Recognizing the solemnity of the
pagan holiday and the reverence it holds in the Hollywood area, Metro Home Video decided
to hold their costume kickoff party for it's newest release "White Angel"
the Thursday prior to October 31st.
Open to the general public and pornophiles eager to attend an alternative to the
overcrowded AVN Halloween Party across town, Metro took over the spacious Key Club
(formerly Billboard Live) on Hollywood's Sunset Strip.

Metro's Angels
Costumes were encouraged
with a cash prize going to the Best Angel Costume in the crowd. The contest drew out about
ten partygoers willing to risk humiliation, including Metro contract girl, Claudia Chase.
Not too surprisingly, Claudia took home the top prize. A note to the guys at Metro: God
doesn't look too kindly on fixed Best Angel Costume contests.
Of particular note was one entrant who came down in white robes, only to reveal her
cherubic costume underneath: a pair of tattooed angel wings covering her entire backside,
and glittery pasties covering up her pubic and nipple areas. Had the contestant not been
the size of a Volkswagen, it might have been quite sexy.

But what the crowd came out to
see were the adult stars, most of whom made a quick entrance and even quicker dash to the
corded-off VIP room in the basement of the club. Seen ducking into seclusion was Vivid
player Janine with baggage boyfriend and ex-Los Angeles disc jockey Ricki Rachman, Vivid
Raw's Mr. Marcus, and dressed up as the sexiest |
Betty Rubble ever, Metro's own
Melanie Stone, who spent most of the evening at the side of Metro front man Greg Alves,
who made for a fair Fred Flintstone.

Gangbang
record aspirant, Houston, entertains the crowd |
In attendance, no doubt to promote her
upcoming gangbang, was Metro contract girl Houston, who partied and played with the crowd
before going on stage to gyrate and strip off some of her jet black, body-hugging outfit.
Even after being pulled offstage by club security, Houston returned to the stage to make
another attempt to entertain her fans. Security was on its toes that night and, once
again, Houston was chased from the stage.

Randi Rage
The always-delightful Randi Rage mulled
through the crowd before hopping on stage to start off an evening of sexy pole dancers at
both ends of the Key Club stage. Randi worked a spell over the crowd, who for the first
two hours of the event avoided the dance floor, but eventually packed every square foot of
available dance space.

House pole dancer
The most obvious of no-shows for the
evening was "White Angel" star Stacy Valentine. In that she was featured
prominently on the invite, I know that there was at least one reporter in attendance who
sorely missed her.
Local cable access king Colin Malone graciously put in an appearance as a tribute to
Metro, who sponsors his weekly television show. Colin even managed to stay upright and
conscious for the majority of the evening. One can only guess that Metro wasn't picking up
his drink tab for the night.

The porn industry is definitely popular enough to
support more than one Halloween party event and Metro did an admirable job of throwing a
little competition to the annual Adult Video News bash elsewhere in town. Maybe the video
giant will entreat us to another such get-together next year and if they can get their
star attraction to show, chase the talent out of the basement, and run a fair costume
contest, AVN will have something to worry about come next October.
Metro Home Video's "White Angel" should be
in video stores in the coming month.
