| Vagabond Lover DVD Description: "Rudy Vallee was one of the most popular and influential crooners of his time, a contemporary of Al Jolson. Rudy pioneered a soft style of crooning and sung in English, Spanish, French and Italian, amplified by use of a megaphone. This technique inspired Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra years later. Already a huge star on radio, the 1929 movie, The Vagabond Lover gave audiences a chance to see Vallee perform and he became an instant heartthrob with the hits he sang in the movie: “I'm Just a Vagabond Lover,” “I Love You Believe Me I Love You,” “If You Were the Only Girl in the World,” “I'll Be Reminded of You,” and “A Little Kiss Each Morning.” One of the earliest sound motion pictures, The Vagabond Lover is a rare glimpse at the roaring 1920's."
